does getting a career in the cannabis industry ask for a lot?
i live in the UK where weed is illegal, but with the world learning weed isnt a problem and sliowly legalising it, i dont think it wuill be long before England legalises the plant. anyway since trying it ive gained an interest in it and have done alot of research on it and know more about it then most of my stoner friends, so ive always thought it would be a good future career choice, but what do companies in legal countries and states expect of someone applying for jobs? high grades? qualifications in growing other plants? or just an interest?
in a dispensary id guess its just like getting a job in any old store, but what about cropping or making concentrates etc? would i need any experience or qualifications? and if so how can i get some before its legalised?

getting a job in selling it will be the same as any other retail job
growing it might require that you have some knowledge in horticulture, processing it might require some expertise in that process, in some cases possibly some chemistry knowledge

Eventually there will be schools you can go to, professional organizations that develop ethical standards, all that stuff. At first, it's going to be like the Wild West, just as the Internet was in the early days.
I don't know if pot will even grow on your fogbound little island. When it's legal everywhere it will be grown in Spain and maybe the South of France and Malta and places like that. Who was it that said England is a nation of shopkeepers? That's what it will be in the cannabis industry. You might be doing processing there, but even then it's more likely processing would be done closer to the source. It's like making wine in the UK from grapes grown in Spain or France, or making olive oil with olives brought in from Greece or Turkey.
If you really want to get in on the ground floor of the legal cannabis industry, California is the place. We just legalized it here, and we've always been the biggest consumers of cannabis products. Plus it grows like a weed here.
