A diet should be lifelong, not a quick fix, no matter what you're trying to do. Healthy eating habits should be for the rest of your life, not a few weeks or months.

The rest of your life. I mean why only be healthy for a limited time? The thing that most people get backwards is they want to change immediately to get immediate results so they can go back to the same habits that made them unhealthy to begin with, when the real goal should be long term health through gradual change.
