Number #1 Answerer in Travel in the United States (Other) I am originally from New Mexico. I love NM and it is truly the "Land of Enchantment." From the southern Sonoran desert to the northern Rocky Mountains, the skiing at Taos, to the unspoiled beauty of the ancient Chaco Canyon ruins, New Mexico is a very unique and truly enchanting state. I live in North Carolina now and enjoy the mountains, beaches and hundreds of beautiful golf courses. Between my time in New Mexico and living in North Carolina now, I have lived in a number of different states from coast to coast. I am an environmental scientist, by degree and training. My favorite female vocalist and all around great person is Carrie Newcomer. Her voice is like a golden angel to me!
