This is from a conversation I have often with my girlfriend. I told her I was raised that if you respect a person, you do your best to be on time to anything that you have a time set for with them. This is of course assuming no disasters, etc. To constantly be late, especially when you have plenty of time to get ready and get somewhere, is, to me, a sign of extreme disrespect, saying "I am more important than you are and anything I want to do must be more important than keeping a meeting/date/etc with you."

She says it doesn't mean anything...of course, she can't be on time to anything even given hours to prepare. She still won't start preparing until you are supposed to be there and take over 1/2 hr to do so.

So, in your opinion, is it disrespectful to be late to things when there is no real reason for you to be late?

I pretty much refuse to see anything with Will Ferrell in it since I cannot stand him and I will usually avoid Jim Carrey movies.

Are there any actors/actresses that will automatically get you to say "I'll skip this movie"?

They had a chance to get rid of Coach and really make their Exile alliance solid, but instead they vote off one of their own. Now the stage is set for the rest to fall like dominoes. Any ideas on the thinking there or do you agree with their choice?
