  • Is its okay for a shop to close 2 minutes early? ?

I work in a shop which closes at 6. We had no customers in from 5.30 onwards. Near the end of the day, I started to turn the cash register off. Plug out everything, turn off the lights and gather my stuff. When i was locking up at 5.58, a car pulled up and a man pulled down his window saying he needed something from the shop and was he too late and I explained I had locked everything up and he said in an angry tone 'it says you close at 6!' who was in the wrong here?

  • Is this some sort of personality disorder?

    I have this friend who I've been friends with about a year now. But lately I've been noticing she only seems to talk about herself and her problems and I always give her advice and my intake on certain situations but it's like she doesn't listen to a word I'm even saying. Other personality traits I've noticed in her are;

    She doesn't find anything funny.

She never seems to look like she's having fun.

She never has deep conversations and seems very surface level.

She always says she will only be happy if she is in a relationship because she has no motivation or goals to do better for herself, she just wants someone to love her.

When she does talk about guys that she's met. She will always say 'they are crazy about me' but never says whether she likes them.

Whenever I need to talk to her about something important she just doesn't care and will switch the conversation back to her issues.

  • Has anyone ever experienced a form or depersonalisation that they can control? ?

For as long as I can remember, I've been able to control my mind to basically switch off by concentrating really hard and making myself believe I'm not actually real. The only think I can find online, is a disorder where people can't control this from happening and its disturbing their everyday life. But this isnt scary for me. It's just something I find myself doing every now and then. Has anyone else experienced this?

The only way I can describe it is that I can make myself feel emotionally and physically numb to my senses and responses to the world around me. I've never had anything traumatic happen to me in my life either.

  • What should I do? ?

I had this friend a few years back. He went through a sort of breakdown and tried to kill himself. The last few times we'd met up, which was about 2 years ago, he was acting really creepy. He kept trying to feel me up and just made me feel so uncomfortable. So I distanced myself from him. He moved country. Then with covid happening, he moved back home. Now he keeps messaging me all the time asking to meet up. At first, I ignored some of his messages but he got mad and asked why I was ignoring him and why couldn't we just meet up. So I just brushed him off and said I was busy. I don't want him to hurt himself again and I'm afraid that by blocking him, he might. I don't think he has much friends. What should I do?

  • What does it mean when someone diverts conversation? ?

What does it mean when a person doesn't know how to make the conversation flow. So I feel like with my most of my friends when we have conversations, the topics lead into other topics and everything, for the most part is relevant. However, one of my friends talks about irrelevant things, which just don't add up to the conversation.

This is probably not an accurate example but it's pretty close to what my friend does when we're in conversation. Me: I can't stand when people lie. Yesterday one of my friends was out with her boyfriend but just completely lied about where she was...Her: Yeah. Ha so weird, that kinda reminds me of when today I brought my nephew to the park...

  • What does it mean when someone only talks about situations in their life? ?

So I have this friend. She suffers with anxiety allot and comes across quite reserved and shy. We meet up regularly. Every time we meet up she tells me the same stories over and over again, about how she had this falling out with her friend and goes into allot of detail for hours with the ins and outs of what happened and how frustrating it was for her. Usually I just listen to her and give her my take on things. Sometimes il say omg yeah you were telling me about this the last time we met up.. but shel continue with the same details as she did before. So the last time we met up, I decided it was my turn to tell her something that was going on with one of my friends, to see what way shed respond. After I'd finished speaking, she just didn't even agknowledge that I'd told her anything, and just diverted the conversation back to her but in a really unnatural awkward way. As in it was so obvious that her story was over and the conversation wasn't leading back to it. Is this some sort of narcissism?

  • What travel adventures would you recommend? ?

Obviously with covid 19 happening, its not possible anytime soon. But I am hoping in the next year or two, when everything has calmed down, that I will be able to go on an adventure abroad. Would anyone be able to recommend the best way to go about this and the most legit companies. I am 27 years old (will be 28/29 when I will be hoping to travel). I will have finished a degree in animal science. So would be interested in anything to do with animal care abroad, if possible.

The places I would be interested in travelling to would be:

    Thailand

    Asia

    Canada

  • Why is it being brought up that he was black?

So maybe I am being ignorant or uneducated, but that man that got killed by that cop, why does it matter if he was black or he was white? When I watched the video I was absolutely sickened. But it didnt cross my mind that the cop was white and the man he had on ground was black. Why has race been brought into it? I honestly believe that the cop is just an absolute pyschopath and he would have done the same if it had have been a white man. He showed so empathy or emotion at all

  • What was the name of this Australian Tv show from the 90s?

Okay so I only seen one episode back in the 90s (or early 2000s). I'm not sure if it was definitely a TV show or could have been a movie. Pretty sure it was Australian.

In the episode, it's raining outside and so one of the characters tells (a girl) tells the other one (maybe her brother?) a story. The episode revolves around the story of a little girl named spider. The little girl is trying to climb monkey bars but keeps falling down. And she's getting bullied in school. Her mom is pregnant and it's just the two of them that live together. She draws a picture of a yellow house. Then she has a dream of the bullies from her school and a little boy (with a birthmark) in the dream helps her. She jumps over a river in the dream to get to the other side where a yellow house is. She wakes up and her mom is in labour so she calls an ambulance. When her mom gives birth, it's a boy and the baby boy has a birthmark on his neck just like the boy in the dream.

Honestly sounds like crap 😂😂 but it's driving me crazy for years not knowing what show it was.
