  • What can I do about my 8 yr. old male dog peeing on my bed?

He's doing it on purpose, he's not incontinent, and he does it other places too. I have never caught him but I can tell when he has because he acts guilty. If he can't get to my bed he will pee against the trash can, a door frame, a shopping bag on the floor, someones suitcase, ANYTHING! He was a rescue dog at 7 mos old and had been abused and is afraid of many things but has been really good and sweet to us until just recently. We've always had other dogs with him and it's never been a problem. He's not adoptable because he is not good with strangers and small active children, he gets nervous and will bite. He cannot be taken to the groomer because he freaks and will bite. So I have had to do it myself. We've accepted all his quirks until now and I'm done with it!! I really think the kindest thing to do for him now is put him to sleep. He won't be afraid anymore.

  • Are you aware that social security tax limit goes up every year?

During Bush's term as President, as in every presidents term, the SS tax on your paychecks has gone up every year.

In 2006 the limit was $94,200

    2007 - $97,00

    2008 - $102,000

I don't know about you but as a woman I haven't reached the limit in over 30 years! I don't know too many men who will reach that limit for 2008 . So what is the big deal if they raise it again to reach the richest Americans, it won't affect 90% of you, and I will bet that most of you never even knew what the limit was before, you just knew that you never reached it.

  • What do you think of your President Now?

I really think Bush should stay home for the rest of his term. He's not doing the Republicans any good, spouting off in foreign countries. I've attached a link of a speech Bush made in Israel today. He jumped right into the 09 Presidential campaign with both feet. If you get to see it on video it's even more ridiculous. He did virtually what the Dixie Chicks did, and hopefully he gets the same reception. It will really be interesting to see if McCain distances himself from this.

I really wish he would do what Keith Olbermann said and "Shut the hell up"!

  • How can I stop my 8lb dog from attacking my other dog?

My little female silky terrier attacks my older larger dog sometimes apparantly out of jealousy and other times for no apparent reason. She has been this way from puppyhood, it was almost funny then, she was so tiny, but now it is not at all funny. The male is a very shy dog and won't do anything to protect himself, so we have always stopped her. I don't think she really hurts him but it sure startles him and us. What can we do with her, or to her to make this stop?

  • Does anyone else feel that the "Rose Parade" in California should be discontinued?

In this day and time, this tradition seems even more wasteful and more of an ostentatious display of obscene wealth than when it started. If all these cities and organizations that participate used this money for the betterment of their own communities, wouldn't that make more sense than spending a fortune in flowers, seeds and bark to glue on a float!!! I have never understood the purpose of this parade and think that as usual we have gone overboard and now it's become a commentary on our bad taste and conspicuous consumption!

With a war going on, people without health care, the homeless and hungry, shouldn't we be ashamed to spend money in this way???

  • Does anyone know of a trailer park in or around Oceanside, CA that will allow travel trailers for long term?

We have a 26' Travel Trailer, that we would like to park somewhere so we could visit when it's really hot here, and not have to tow it down everytime. We like the Oceanside, Vista, area.

  • Does anyone know exactly when Bush bought his ranch in Crawford?

I wonder if he's owned it more than 7-8 years, or if he only bought it before his first Presidential campaign to give the impression that he's one of us, those "down home" type people. I don't think any work is done on it except photo ops of brush clearing! Same "impression" building as Thompson's red truck, which he drives a short distance after leaving his limo. Please tell me people are not that easily led.

  • Can anyone explain to me how we can be paying for this war, and have the deficit be decreasing?

I heard "Lil Bush" say this and I don't see how it's possible! How can the economy be growing, and the deficit be shrinking when we have a huge amount of debt hanging over our heads. Does China really own our house? If so, why is that ok with anyone!!! How can we be the most powerful country in the world when we don't own it??

I'm listening to him speak right now, and as far as Iraq questions, the man is a master of obfuscation! There are no periods in his sentences, it's like he gets lost in the rhetoric and can't find his way out until he just runs out of steam!

To be fair, he has made sense on other topics like Guantanamo, and Transportation tax dollars.

  • Mothers in the US, Have you lost enough of your children to this senseless war?

I believe it is going to take the mother's of our soldiers to bring this country to its senses. You have the power and the right to demand that Bush/Cheney stop using your children to further their political agenda. Saddam is gone, "Mission Accomplished". We cannot bring Democracy to a country that will not separate Church and State. We invaded without cause, we occupy their country, kill their civilians by the thousands, to coerce them to adopt our way of life or we won't leave until they do! Who are the terrorists here?! How can it make us safer here, to sacrifice our children over there???! We are creating more hatred of us everyday we occupy and attempt to control Iraq.

Most of us have not personally sacrificed for this war, but you and your children are making the ultimate sacrifice. I am proud of our soldiers and they have gallantly tried to achieve these unrealistic goals.

It is up to you to demand that this insane waste of our soldiers, stop immediately!

  • How do you break a dog from "snapping", not really from aggression but more in fear?

I cannot cut his toenails or take him to a groomer without him being so afraid he will snap at me and bite the groomer. He doesn't like to be messed with in anyway, but otherwise is the sweetest dog.
