I have recently gotten back into the outdoors, I'm  interested in backpacking, hiking trails, mountain climbing, how to survive the outdoors, etc.. I was wondering if there was anything in particular you would recommend for a beginner to gain knowledge from, obviously I have the internet too search but I prefer hearing others :)

Hey everyone, I’m a 26 year old father of two, I dropped out of high school a year before graduation too help take care of my family. I’m now 26, and really want to get my GED/Hi-Set in Texas, I also Have a couple misdemeanors possessions one for marijuana and another for a dangerous drug, both misdemeanors from 2014, I am tired of being stuck in the same position I’m in, and I want too do better for my children. Is there anyway to get fasfa or any AID at all with my convictions? I just want too explore my options, thank you!
