Ray Patterson - The dude abides

Almost only active in R&S. I'm an atheist, so that means I spend about 25% of my time defending my presence there. Of course I could choose not to answer those questions, but somehow every one of them gives me a new impulse to reconsider my motivation for being here. Thank you people who wonder why I'm around! Also, I think that atheist is an extremely complicated label. It doesn't even begin to describe what I actually believe, it just sort of denotes what I don't believe. I believe that there may be some sort of ultimate reality behind this all, but I also believe that none of us have any clue what it is, so there's no point pretending. Materialism is not my ontological, only my epistemical stance. I don't actually believe there is nothing but material reality, but I believe it's nonsense to talk about anything else.
