"Red-neck party" part 2 info?
Not enough room in my original post about our Cheap & Tacky party ideas:
We had a life-size John Wayne cardboard standup that guests had their picture taken with.
Fly swatters and back-scratchers for all the guests.
Found red-neck type photos on the internet, printed and hung those.
The ideas for this themed party are endless, planning it was great fun...
4 AnswersOther - Entertainment2 decades agoSorry I missed the "red-neck party ideas" question....here's our party ideas.?
We've had a Cheap & Tacky party in our yard the past two summers.
Decorated yard with various holiday decorations; lighted palm tree with a lighted snowman under it, lighted halloween pumpkin, strung christmas lights.
Hung hubcaps and tin farmer signs found at the flea-market on fence.
Setup table and lamp with a chair next to it and had tabloid magazines to read.
Put fake flowers in old booze bottle "vases".
Hung huge clothes on clothes line.
Hung nylons, cheap jewelry in bathroom, and had Jesus tattoos for guests.
Invitations were brown lunch bags we wrote party info on. Guests dressed Cheap & Tacky. Guests brought an old Cheap & Tacky item wrapped in newspaper and we had a present swap.
Year 1 catered a pig roast with all the fixings and Hostess products for dessert- twinkies, ho-hos, ding-dongs.
Year 2 catered beef sandwiches, fried chicken and side items. Dessert- individual serving size bags of cracker jack, oreo cookies, peanutbutter cheese crackers.
FUN!!!
3 AnswersOther - Entertainment2 decades agoRequest for Italian Giambotta with meat recipe, made in the oven?
A family member raves about an Italian Giambotta she makes in the oven but she won't share the recipe. I know the recipe calls for Italian sausage, chicken, potatoes, onions and green peppers and that it's made in the oven but I don't know if the meat is seared first, or what spices or liquids to add for flavor and sauce. Thanks for any ideas.
