1 AnswerMathematics4 years agoFind the values of x and y in the diagram shown in the picture.?
The chapter for this problem has to do with complementary and supplementary angles and also vertical angles and linear pairs. I've tried for days to solve this problem and can't find a way to solve it. It's Supposed to be a challenge problem. If you can explain how you did it and express as much detail as possible.
1 AnswerMathematics5 years agoIs the Linear Pair principle a theorem or a postulate ?
I have a problem distinguishing whether the linear principle is a postulate or a theorem. Some books state it as theorem and some as postulate. For example:
1.) one states the linear pair as a postulate as: "If two angles form a linear pair, then they're supplementary.
2.) Another states Linear pair as a theorem: " If the exterior sides of a pair of adjacent angles form a straight line, then the angles are supplementary.
3.) Another as theorem as well: " If two angles form a straight line, the angles are supplementary.
