I'm a law student and a dog lover. My Cattle Dog mix is pretty much the only thing keeping me sane while in school :) I'm usually pretty understanding about people's different views on dogs, but I do not tolerate the idea that hurting them is good training. Dog training is supposed to be enjoyable, rewarding, and fun. If you have to shock or hit your dog to make him do what you want, I can't imagine how that could be enjoyable... fun... or rewarding. Corrections are different - they are fair. But if you're into jerking around, shocking, and yelling at the those who look up to you and that you are supposed to take care of, ya got some serious issues.
