  • The Sims 3 PC help?

I'm looking to buy the Sims 3 for PC, along with the pets expansion pack. This is the first time purchasing a Sims game. I've been scrolling the net and I've realized you can buy a download key or a hard copy. What exactly is the difference, and which do you recommend? Additionally people have been saying that a specific version downloads/installs the game through the internet origin? Is there a simple disc for both which I can buy which will install from the disk alone? And finally, do you need the internet to use the Sims 3 at all times? Or once downloaded can it operate fully without? Apologies for the many queries, just checking. Thanks!

  • Acheing bones,sharp pains,clicking of bones concerns?

The past 3 weeks I've been getting sharp pains at random intervals of the day all over. Ranging from my leg, knee, ribs and back. Additionally I have a very stiff neck and back, as well as an aching pelvis bone. I'm a young teen so I don't think this is arthritis? Especially due to these sharp pains in muscles and bone? I don't do much sport, if any. What could this be?

Oh and I have the urge to crack my back, arms, wrists and ankles so many times in a day.

  • Shooting pains/sharp?

Over the past few days I've been getting sharp shooting type pains in my back, shoulder blades, ribs and sometimes my stomach. I am doing my GCSEs at the moment, which are coming to an end, so could it be stress/anxiety related? Just a little concerned. My mum is sure they're growing pains, however being the hypochondriac iam.. I totally disagree.

  • Achey bones in teenagers?

I'm 15, and for the past few months my bones and joints have become increasingly achey. The main areas affected are both ankles, my spine, and my pelvis bone. I always have the urge to crack these areas, releasing air pockets. I'm also very used to getting muscle knots in my neck and back. I'm not very sporty, in fact I'm very sedentary. However I am fairly underweight, could this be a factor towards it? Any advice etc? Getting increasingly worried.

  • Lump in neck, worried? Help!?

I've had this lump and discomfort for nearly a week now. On the left hand side of my neck there's a tiny pea sized lump beneath my chin. I'm guessing its on the thyroid cartilage. My glands feel swollen, and tender too. This tiny little lump causes a little pain when swallowing, I'm panicking so much. It's recommended to wait 2 weeks to a month before consulting a doctor. As issues like these leave in time. I'm NOT ill or fighting a clear infection that I'm aware of. I'm currently doing exams and this has just thrown me into chaos as I think of the worst possible outcomes with these situations. It's appeared out of nowhere, what could it be?

  • Lump in neck, HELP!?

Two days ago the left hand side of my neck became sore, just under my jaw on the left. I had a feel of it and I've felt a little pea sized gristley lump. It is quite tender, and uncomfortable. I'm not ill at all, or fighting an infection that I know of. I'm so worried, can anyone advise me? I'm making a doctors appointment in the morning, so I just need reassuring.

  • Ear spasms/thumping noises?

Okay yeah I'm asking the wonderful world of yahoo answers about a medical concern.. however I'am visiting the doctors tomorrow. So this is just a little heads up, yeah?

About a month ago my right ear randomly started thumping, almost like a heart beat within my ear. But it is irregular to my heart beats rhythm. I used warmed olive oil in attempt to loosen the possible wax, however it hasn't stopped. In fact it comes and goes in my other ear too :( I had a little look on google, and I noticed it may have something to do with TMJ? ..I haven't been diagnosed with this by a professional however I have had symptoms of this for around 2 years, such as the odd locking of the jaw, clicking and crunching sounds. It also becomes tender around the joint. And then finally this past week I have been suffering from a non stop headache which just will not budge. So for any of you with medical knowledge or experience.. could this be a serious diagnosis, just from these brief symptoms? Thanks :)

  • Filling breakfast ideas?

In a morning I'm soooo hungry, it's the one time of day I could forever consume delicious food. But nothing ever comfortably fills me up. I've tried 2 porridge sachets with a toasted teacake/hot cross bun or toast. Porridge with fruit e.g. apple or banana, weetabix, bran flakes, natural yogurt with fruit, cereal bars and porridge, the list goes on. I'm vegetarian and I need a filling and quick breakfast to fill me up until lunch at school. I've heard eggs are a good source of protein and fill you up, but I dislike eating them. Other alternatives and healthy ideas would be appreciated very much, by both me and my tummy :)

  • Eating disorder recovery help?

Im currently in self recovery from Ednos, im struggling with the amount of calories I need to consume. So many stories about how 3000+ is barely enough, I don't think I can physically do that. Why is 2000-2500 said to be not enough? Surely if I was to aim for that amount it would allow me to repair and gain? Any experience or meal plans would be appreciated, and is there any specific foods I need to aim at consuming right now e.g. Dairy. Thanks :)

  • Simple and delicious vegetarian breakfast and lunch ideas?

I'm bored of the same old generic cereal brands, and the basic porridge sachets in a morning. As well as the basic quorn sandwich for lunch, or the odd can of vegetable soup. Has anyone got any good and moderately quick breakfast ideas, as well as tasty possible sandwich fillers or alternatives for vegetarians? ( I do consume dairy, eggs, but dislike cheese. I do NOT consume any form of fish)

  • How to stretch my ears to 10mm?

I have an 8mm stretched lobe, my ears are thick and rather stuborn. Throughout each and every stretch i've witnessed, the taper takes a couple of days to slide through. However, a couple of weeks back i decided to stretch up to my target size of 10mm, the taper went half way through without pain, left it a couple of days and finished the stretch. Everything was fine, no rips or tears, i bathed my lobes and moisturised. I popped a basic plug in to allow them to settle before putting 'pretty' plugs in, but after sleeping in my plug i took it out to wash, and it was torn at the back of the lobe, it was painful and bleeding. Immediatly I removed the plug, bathed it with salt water, applied anti-septic and allowed to heal. After a few weeks once fully healed, i repeated the process only to witness the exact same thing. Is there anyway i can possibly ever get them to 10mm, or is it just not going to work out?

Any tips, or techniques to help me get to my desired target would be much appreciated.

  • Boney lump in between my breasts on the edge of my right rib cage?

I've discovered a solid boney lump in the center of both breasts. Recently I've lost a lot of weight and I'm fairly skinny, which is making me wonder whether its just uncovered a boney sternum. I'm worried if this could be the start of something awful such as cancer. The lump is visable and pertrudes with my ribs. Any ideas on what this possibly could be?

  • Swollen lip with numerous white pin head dots?

Quite literally over night I have developed a lump/spot on my lip. It has gradually become swollen, numbing my lip area as well as nose. On the under side of my lip there's many white dots beneath the surface. Any ideas on what this could be, is it serious? I'm planning on going to the doctors, but i'd just like to have a rough idea on what this could be, thanks.

  • Police officer educational requirements?

Im currently 15 years old, in my last year at school. I need to be making life changing decisions about the colleges, courses and A levels I need to attend. Im looking to hopefully become a member of the metropolitan police handling dogs within the k9 unit. What I would like to know is the entrance requirements needed to apply, which courses/ a levels will help me, what A levels stand out and perhaps help increase chances of being selected. Any other side line certificates/qualifications help boost your chances of standing out and being different to the rest? All feedback hugely appreciated :)

  • How to gain weight? HELP!?

Im far too much underweight, I've lost my periods, my bones just protrude out of my body..its just bloody disgusting. Im only 14, and I've tried an increase of calories by 200 extra per week, but my stomach physically won't expand. I get full ever so quickly, I've tried eating smaller more frequent meals, however i never feel hungry for the next, no matter how big or small the previous meal was. Gaining weight is so hard. Its not all about stuffing myself with chocolate and cake, i need a healthy and safe way of doing this. Plus im a vegetarian. So any ideas on which may help me gain would be appreciated so much. The doctors is looming otherwise, and that isn't a place im wanting to go. Im determined to succeed myself. And tips, tricks or ideas will be taken into huge consideration, thanks a bunch if you've read this. Much love x

  • Do you eat South African pears 'solid'?

We purchased 6 south African pears about 3 days ago, they are rock solid and have shown no sign of softening or ripening. This is the first time we've purchased this variety. Are you supposed to eat them like this or will it just take time for them to gradually ripen?
