  • Best ground type pokemon to use in red?

    So I recently started a new game in the original Pokemon Red. I normally use Golem as my ground type pokemon but am trying to use pokemon I've never used before; unfortunately this makes it a tad harder to build an effective team (imo ymmv). I was thinking Rhydon until I read it learns no rock or ground type moves in this game.

    So my question is, what is (in your opinion) the best ground/rock&ground type to use?
