?

I know I will have to cut the dash opening a bit for the radio to fit. I want to know if the screen will clear the hazard knob or wiper switch. Also, is there anything under the hood that might get in the way?

I just installed a 2019 air cooled VW engine in my 1973 Thing last night. It had a full tank of 87 octane gas so I drained a couple gallons and added 2.5 gallons of 100 octane race gas and a bottle of 108 booster to try to get it to stop pinging. It helped a little off the line, but in 3rd and 4th, it pings BAD when I give it more than 1/4 throttle. I have tried to advance and retard the timing with no luck. I have retarded the timing so much that it has a very hard time turning over, but once it starts, it still pings with more than 1/4 throttle.
