It has been 3 weeks since I stopped smoking, I also have asthma. For the past few days I have been having difficulty breathing since I stopped smoking and my insides by my lungs are killing me, they are very sore. I have started coughing but the rubbish that I think was on my lungs is not coming loose to cough it out.

Can someone tell me please

1) how long it will take until I feel the physical health benefits of stopping smoking and breathing returns to normal

2) how long it will take until the soreness stops??

3) how long it takes until all the rubbish I smoked over the years comes off my lungs???
