Surgery made breathing problems worse?
I got a septoplasty and ballon sinuplasty about 3 years ago. I don’t really remember how my breathing was when I first got it done but all I know is I never felt true relief. And 3 years later, my breathing has gotten awful, even after the surgery. My right nostril has airflow, but my nose cartilage is so softened from doing all the work and sucks in when I breathe. There is absolutely zero airflow in or out of my left nostril. I can never take a full deep breathe and I am so over living like this. I’ve been back to the doctor, tried sprays and medications to no avail. They say I cannot do the surgery again. I can’t live the rest of my life not being able to breathe and panicking every time I try to take a breath in my nose. Sleeping is miserable. Has this occurred to anyone else who has gotten surgery? This is taking a bigger toll on my life than I need. I just want to breathe.

Hey all, any skincare advice is needed.
Prior to my last derm appt, I was using dapsone nightly with clindamycin gel in the AM. I was cleansing and moisturizing with gentle CeraVe and using SPF during day. I rarely ever broke out, and I enjoyed having clear ski. But, I started to get bothered by the tiny, under-the-skin whiteheads and bumpy textured skin I was seeing around my chin and cheek area. So, my derm started me on tret at night to combat this. I have been using it for about 2 months consistently and using all the normal products I usually do. I had high hopes for this product because everhone seems to love it, but it has seemed to ruin my skin. I have never been so acne-prone and dealt with so much scarring and flaky, dry, damaged skin as I ever have. Even when my skin is super hydrated, it still is so broken out. Pimples galore. My skin feels smoother in certain places, but overall just looks so much worse than it originally was.
So, question is: anyone else dealt with this? Should I keep using the product or is it too much for me? I am 20. I have heard things about purging periods but it seems like it’s been too long. Coming up on 3rd month of this hell. Any advice is appreciated.
1 AnswerSkin Conditions2 months agoQuestion about plastic retainers?
I’m not sure why I never noticed this, but I put in my top plastic retainers and noticed it doesn’t cover both of the the back molars (left and right) for my top teeth. It covers a tiny bit of it, but not entirely. Is this bad? It’s been years of using this same retainer. Is it messing up my teeth? Or is this normal, does this molar have the possibility of shifting my other teeth since it’s not covered by the retainer? Not sure if this info is useful but I also got my wisdom teeth out a few months ago so that’s not an issue.
Dental5 months agoHair twirling addiction?
Since I was little, I have always done self soothing actions like twirling my hair or rubbing a teddy bears ear, for example. This is considered normal when younger, but how normal is it now? I’m a 21 y/o woman who almost CONSTANTLY twirls her hair. I have to resist the urge to do it all the time. I was told it can be habit when I’m stressed or anxious, and yes I am a very anxious person, but I also do it when I am calm and not stressed too. I have tried to stop before. It’s an unnecessary habit And one id like to quit. Yet I’m seriously addicted and can’t stop doing it. Is it OCD? Anxiety? Just a habit? How can I make myself stop
Psychology8 months agoTERRIBLE SORE THROAT?
For a couple of days now, I've been feeling really run down. I had a low fever the last few days, though its gradually gone away. It started out as body aches and headache, but now it is focused on my cough and throat. I've been coughing a lot, & there is so much flem that goes into my chest. I will cough and get so scared because it all makes me not breathe. It's scary. But that's not even the worst part. The worst part of all is my throat. It feels like I have strep times 100000. I don't think I have strep only because I don't think I see any white on my throat, however it's very red. I've tried just about everything. Advil, Ibuprofen, Nyquill, Throat numbing spray, tea, soup, honey, lemon, ice cream, smoothies, cough drops....The list goes on and on. and NOTHING is helping my throat. The pain is so unbearable it keeps me up all night and I've been out of work for a few days. I try so hard not to swallow but when I have to, I wince in pain because it literally feels like razor blades. I don't know what to do!! HELP
