I got a dog about a month ago. She's six months old, a mini Australian Shepard. She was not socialized much with people or other animals before we got her. (In fact, I think her previous owner wasn't very kind to her.) Anyway, we haven't had any behavioral problems (barking, biting, chewing). She will let us pet her, and will let us pick her up and she will generally stay where we set her down, like on bed with us. The thing is- my dog is completely indifferent about EVERYTHING she looks at toys/treats/food/people with such boredom. The only thing she will focus on is the TV? She literally never ever barks. I think she lacks confidence and is too timid to like being outside or like playing with us. We are a starting dog training classes this weekend, but do you have any suggestions on how to make our pup love us? Or love ANYTHING?

My boyfriend of almost a year has a best friend, who happens to be my manager. My boss used to be interested in my boyfriend in a romantic way, long before I came into the picture. My boyfriend did not return those feelings because he is not gay. Anyway, the best friend of his is SUPER jealous of me and in return has started treating me poorly. Like so bad that I have gone home from work bawling my eyes out. I have gone to HR, and asked to be transferred to a different department (this is a work in progress of moving me). My boyfriend feels bad, and has tried to fix the situation but it just is getting worse.Now every single time his phone buzzes with his buddy texting him or asking to hang out, it stings my heart. I cannot ask my boyfriend to ditch his best friend for three years, but I cannot seem to just be content with the fact he is hanging out with a man who is awful to me. I do not claim to be innocent, I am sure I have been mean right back to my manager but still, I just want my boyfriend to put me first. What do I do? I do not want him to have to give up his friend or cut him out because of me. None the less, I am over-reacting and trying my hardest not to be "that" girlfriend. Help?

I recently adopted a five month old dog. Her previous owner asked us to meet her at a park to pick her up. I paid part cash and part check. This owner was allegedly the owner of my dogs parents and she breeds them. (Sorry, i know it is kind of a puppy mill). Anyway, I ve had my very scared but adorable dog for about a week. She hates leashes- hasn t been socialized- and didn t even have a name she had been called for five months before we got her. When we took her to the vet for a shot, the vet looked at the papers we had of her other shot records and told us the website the shots were listed on were from a dog auction. In other words, actual puppy mills. Is what she presumably did wrong, by lying to us, buying a dog and reselling it for profit?

I love my dog more than life but I feel terrible for whatever might have happened to her before us, especially if she has already had several owners.

This period started 10 days ago and is still bleeding every day. It s not a lot of blood, but it s enough to be annoying. My periods pre-pill were 3 days, light and done, once a month. Is this normal to have such vast changes in my cycle after starting the pill?
