  • You can't have diabetes if you don't eat right?

If a person has diabetes, could being feed a formula straight into the stomach (like they do in hospitals) with an NG feed or similar, that is sugar controlled, mean that the person would not have symptoms of diabetes: if the formula is pumped in over the course of the day. Or if that would not work - why?

Also, can a person eliminate/prevent diabetes or at least the symptoms by eating a diet with little or no sugar (yes I this is near impossible but I am asking hypothetically) and normal levels of protein, vitamins and minerals.

  • I've been diagnosed with pre-diabetes-?

    And what I don't understand is that a few months ago without even knowing I had this, I really reduced the amount of sugar in my diet;

no sugar in my tea/on my cereal/cut out fizzy drinks and sweets.

I am exercising much more in my new job and spend at least 5 hours on my feet, 5 days of the week.

I don't drink and I don't smoke or do drugs.

I admit that I get nowhere near my 5 a day and I could probably do extra exercise. But I don't understand why this is happening after I have made all of these changes? I had my blood test last Tuesday and found out today.

I'm not overweight either; I am around 8 and a half stone and a bit taller than 5'2.

I guess my question is, if I have already made all these changes and I am pre-diabetic; what more can I do?

  • Should I risk my new job.?

I applied for a weekend job last week and when I went to the interview, the receptionist mentioned that they have morning hour vacancies available at the company, but in another area/department. I got the job in the department that only has evening hours available.

Problem is, the morning position would be much more suited to me, but I only have the details of the manager of the department and not the receptionist - should I ask the manager if I can transfer (even though there is a chance she could say no and withdraw her job too) or would she be likely to give details of the morning job because it is essentially the same company... or is there anything else I can do.

  • Beer or coffee?

Does it make any difference if a guy asks you out for a beer instead of coffee or visa versa. Or does it not make a difference.

  • Is it possible to eat yourself...?

And if so, what order would you have to eat your body parts for it to be possible, in my opinion you would have to start with the feet and legs (since you won't need them any more), but what next and how would you eat your head and lips? Also you do not have to worry I am not suicidal and do not wish to eat my self. Thank you.

  • Shopping in stores that didn't hire you?

How do you feel about shopping in or revisiting shops that you failed an interview in or didn't hire you. Personally I don't really go in the particular store again, what about you?

  • work experience exploitation?

Is it normal on a six week work experience placement to work around 20 hours, unpaid a week and being asked to do overtime a few times?

  • six week work experience program?

if you started a six week work experience program when unemployed and offered a job elsewhere two weeks in should you leave the placement or continue with less hours (the placement is completely unpaid) and there seems to be a lot of other placement people, I don't want to taint my reputation with the company.
