  • Creating an iTunes Account?

    Hello,

I am trying to create an iTunes account to use with my new iPhone 3G. I am really not interested in giving out credit card information or making any paid purchases through the iTunes store. I am attempting to download several FREE apps for my 3G, but every time I try to, it requires an iTunes account (I really don't understand this as there is no credit card needed for a free purchase!!). Anyway, when I clicked on the Get App button for one of the free apps it gave me a login screen. I tried to create an account through the Create Account button at the top of the window. I filled out all the required field until I came to the Payment Page. It asked for my credit card or paypal account. There also was a new option called "None". I selected that one so I wouldn't have to give out any credit cards since I am only downloading FREE programs. Then I filled out the rest of the form. When I clicked the Continue an error at the top of the page in red text said "You did not complete the entire form. Please enter your credit card number. The credit card expiration date you entered has already passed. Please enter a valid expiration date."

This makes no sense to me as I chose the None option (And I didn't use a hack like entering an old iTunes Gift Card Number). What should I do?? How can I set up my free download only account without credit card information??

Thanks for all your wonderful Help!!
