I am 25 year old European living in New York. In the past couple of years i have studied nutrition (still do and im getting certified), changed my eating habits and fell in love with exercising. Although now i cant do as much since i was hit by a car last December and had my leg shattered, i have 8 fractures in my tibia/fibula which havent healed yet (it was hit and run and although witnesses got plates nobody got arrested). With a cast on my leg i try to walk as much as i can (one week i walked 14 miles) and do some exercises as well. I cant work wright now so I have plenty of time to answer questions and be useful to somebody else. I am cast free but...somehow it looks pretty much the same way it did in the beginning just without the staples. If you want to be added to my contacts and see my answers let me know.

  • Natural remedies for anxiety attacks?

    I have history of anxiety but in the past 2 weeks i have been having anxiety attacks almost every day - they feel like asthma - like I am not getting enough air and next day my whole chest hurts and i cant swallow because of it.

    Peppermint, chamomile, st Johns worth are not working as well as exercising (i do it all the time anyway).

    I dont want to go to the doctor -its just too expensive (in the past i had to pay over 400$ a month for visit to get prescription and pills for that month)

  • Is it all i can get from insurance for being hit by a car?

    I was hit by a car in December - NYC - hit and run - got plates - got witnesses - 8 tib/fib fractures - 2 surgeries - still in a cast - might have to walk with a cane forever - will need at least one cosmetic surgery when it heals -filed for lawsuit.

    I have been out of work for almost 8 months now and will never be able to go back to work - i will have to change fields, but im not able to work yet. I also dont qualify for any disabily benefits or lost earnings.

    My lawyer tells me there is a certain amount of money i can get but i need more than that because of all the medical bills, money i could have made working, a pure hell of pain and not being able to cross one street without thinking i am risking my life doing it.

    Is it true or is there a way i can get more money?

    (i think the driver doesnt have any personal assets)

    I meet men all the time and can get almost any man i want, but...

    how do i make them see me as a woman they would marry???

    Usually they think they are not good enough for me, that im out of their league etc, but i dont feel like that - just because i have the looks, good manners and im educated doesnt mean that. So all my relationships end with me getting hurt but somehow men dont feel that way.

  • how long is leg supposed to heal if you have eight tib/fib fractures?

    I was hit by a car two months ago and got the cast only a month after the accident because it wasnt stable (besides i have a rod and 5 screws in there now). Went to see surgeon a couple of days ago and he said it was ok, but i didnt see absolutely no changes in x-rays. (two biggest brakes have about 5mm space between parts of the bone).

    Are those spaces supposed to be there that big at all?

    And according to my surgeon i am gona have the cast on for 3-4 months total. There is no muscle already after just a month. What is gona be there in 2-3 more?
