How do out bodies "burn" calories?
A (kilo)calorie is measured by the burning of a substance raising 1000ml of water 1degree Celcius. Why is is that conventional science believes our bodies absorb and "burn" calories in the same way? Our metabolism doesn't literally burn substances, so what is true metabolic energy?
