  • Multiple wireless devices using same frequency?

I am looking at buying a pair of wireless headphones (The Turtle Beach PX5's, specifically. - http://www.turtlebeach.com/products/ps3-gaming-hea... ) and in my research have read several reviews online. One thing that keeps popping us as a 'con' is the fact that they operate on 2.4GHz and they say this can be problematic if you have other things, such as a wireless router, using the same frequency. However, what the reviews don't state is HOW this can be problematic. I checked my wireless router and it uses 2.4GHz frequency.

I've googled around but haven't really found any proper answers so my question is this: HOW is this problematic? Will their be sound interference with my headphones? Will the range be reduced? What happens? My apartment isn't huge so I would only be sitting perhaps 3 metres from the transmitter while using the headphones. Should I still consider these headphones or look elsewhere?

I will cross post this as I'm not too sure what section would best suit this question...

    Thanks.

  • Any bars in Montreal showing Rugby World Cup matches?

Specifically the France vs Canada match this sunday? It'll be at 4.30am our time, but I understand there will be a replay on TV at 4pm and would like to watch it with a beer in a bar since my dad (a French citizen and rugby fan) will be in town.

  • Is the FIFA World Cup really about Soccer/Football? Or is it about national pride?

I am not a soccer fan in the least, but with all the hype surrounding the World Cup, I have found myself watching bits of games here and there, though invariably after a few minutes I get bored and switch channels. Of course, I am not a soccer fan, however, people who are have been saying that this World Cup thus far has been fairly lackluster, and yet, they keep watching it!

So, as a hockey fan, I have drawn the conclusion that, like Hockey, at the international level, Soccer is more about national pride then the game itself. While at the club level, Hockey is bigger than god in Canada, and even if your team is out, you will watch it to the very end, however at the international level, once your team is out, you stop watching. This happened recently, Canada of course won the gold medal at the winter olympics recently, but after that there was the IIHF World Championship, Canada finished a disappointing 7th after a loss to Russia (of course they say that it was because 90% of Canada's Olympic team was not there, but excuses are just excuses), and then Canada stopped watching and went back to NHL (club hockey).

So my question is this, would you as Soccer fans agree with the statement that Soccer/Football at the club level is far more fun to watch in terms of skill and level of game play then at the international level, and that really, at the international level, it's about national pride, not the quality of the game?

    Thanks in advance! :D

  • Watching hockey online for free in Canada?

I'm from Vancouver and hence a Canucks fan, but I've been living in Montreal for about a year now. This year I have not been able to see any Canucks games (except the couple times they played Montreal), as TV out here (at least the channels I have) is very Montreal-centric. IE, there may be another game they could play after the Montreal game (often Vancouver because of the time difference), but instead they have like 7 hours of post game analysis.

Anyways, I am only a moderate fan, so this does not bother me most of the time. But now the playoffs are comming and I'd like to be able to follow the Canucks progress. I would imagine that if they progress further, I'll be able to go to bars to see the game, or maybe even see it on TV (because, well, Montreal is not making past the first round anyways :P).

Anyways, I know of some sites like yahoo sports you can watch online for free, but this only works in the US. Is there any place I can watch hockey games online for free in Canada? Thanks. :)
