my mother has worked at american apparel for a few years, and as of yesterday she received a note, along side thousands of her coworkers. the note asked for proof of a legal permit to work in the U.S.

thousands of these workers will not have any proof of their permit, simply because they do not have access to one.

i know how immigration works, and as i see it, the government is only doing what is legal, but i ask that if my mother is capable, responsible, and rightfully affective in her job, why is it that she has to fight even harder to keep it, when she has already fought to get it.

all i want is an opinions, i do not know about politics, as i am only a teen, but would like to be informed of what is it that can be done, or at least what should be done in a situation like this?

I would appreciate any type of support or comment, pleas. i'm really interested to know what people think on this particular subject.
