  • Can cemetery owners keep company I choose from setting marker? Company is licensed/bonded. What's the law?

We bought my parents' cemetery plots in 1980. Daddy was buried that year. The cemetery has since changed ownership. Mama was buried last year. I have finally decided on the marker I want. The cost includes the setting fee. The cemetery is now telling me that they have a policy that only they can set markers in their cemetery, and that I will need to pay them close to $300 to do it. The monument company I bought the marker from is licensed and bonded. They said that the cemetery owner has no legal right to keep them from setting if I want them to do it. I would prefer the monument company set it. This is in Texas. Who knows the answer to this?
