I want to know which anime I should watch before the others. I really enjoyed Mirai Nikki, Death Note, and Another, and found these while looking for something similar:

Hyouka

Serial experiments lain

Hell girl

Boogiepop phantom

Ghost stories

As previously stated, I'm looking for an anime like K (not K-on) or Accel world. I've seen and/or am watching most of the popular recommendations for this, such as Bleach, Ao no Exorcist, Naruto, One piece, etc. (Why would anyone recommend naruto or one piece for this anyway?) I'm open to most anything, excluding romance, yaoi/yuri, ecchi, etc. I can tolerate a small amount, but not heavy laden in the series. Oh, one last thing, I'd prefer it include a good amount of action and character development, and to be somewhat new. 2004, at least.

I know this is a bit...out of the ordinary, but I'm looking for an anime where something unusual happens to the main character, such as in DN Angel, or Midori days, where his hand turns into a girl (that's the only reason I watched this), or FLCL, and I don't need to say much about that. (I know, how could I compare them?) I REALLY HATE ROMANCE and absolutely will not tolerate much of it. Oh, and no fan service, ecchi, hentai, etc.

My black version will freeze when the screen fades to black to raise N's castle from the ground. I have not used any cheats, like AR, etc. I was also having the same problem with Elesa lowering Driftveil Drawbridge, but it stopped freezing after I restarted a couple of times. I've tried taking out and reinserting the game card and doing soft resets, but each time it stayed frozen on the white transition screen.
