I am on birth control, and my periods are dictated by when I take my placebos at the end of the month; however, I was prescribed to take an antibiotic which, according to my doctor, would make my birth control ineffective. I was prescribed to take the antibiotic for 10 days, and use back up birth control (condoms) for 3 weeks. However, I only ended up taking the antibiotic for a couple of days, and after two weeks, decided to stop using condoms with my boyfriend.

I now have been taking placebos for the past 4 days...but still no period. Is it too early to take a pregnancy test to make sure I'm not pregnant?

I have version 10.4.11 of Mac OS X, and up until a couple weeks ago I was able to access my Netflix account just fine to watch movies and shows. Recently, when I've tried to watch, it says I need to download some kind of Microsoft plugin something-or-other to view any shows...when I tried to install this, it told me my computer's software cannot run the plugin, and therefore I can't use my netflix (which I am still paying for!!!!) I have no upgrades for my computer software available..but does anyone know if there's any way I can still access Netflix without having to deal with upgrading softwares?

Ever since my last boyfriend and I broke up...I've been a little less careful about taking my birth control. This past month, I know that I have been taking the pill at different times, and missed it maybe two times and just took the pill the next day in the morning, and the one meant for that day at night.

Well, I had sex with someone this past weekend, and the condom broke. He had already came inside the condom...so there's obviously a good chance him semen was in me....

I've been on the third day of my placebo and STILL haven't gotten my period....

Is it even likely that even IF I was pregnant, my period would be missed like, a WEEK after I had sex?

Or do you think I'm overreacting?

Please give me some advice...I need some reassurance.

I got my bellybutton pierced about a week ago. It's still got redness around the piercing sight, which hasn't gone away. The piercing never became infected. It never even really had pus or discharge coming out of it at any point, and still hasn't. The only problem is the redness, which worries me about infection.

I began cleaning the piercing with rubbing alcohol the first couple of days (because I didn't have any disinfectant soap aside from scented body washes), but I learned that rubbing alcohol is too harsh for a new wound. So I started using hydrogen peroxide, and now have just been using warm water. I've put antibiotic cream on it every day since it's been pierced.

Tonight, I let ice sit on it for a while in hope that the redness would go away (which it did not). And put antibiotic cream on it still after washing it.

Is the redness normal? Does it usually last so long? Or am I at risk for infection?

I just went on birth control and I'm really afraid I'm going to gain weight. I've heard before that people will gain weight on birth control...but my friends all say they haven't experienced anything. However, I have definitely heard stories about people gaining weight when they take birth control.

Has anyone had a personal experience with birth control in which they gained weight?

Today, I got stuck on a roller coaster and had to crawl out of the roller-car thing I was in and walk along side of the track SO HIGH in the air. It was the scariest thing I've ever had to do in my life. Anyone else had scary roller coaster experiences?

I'm thinking about applying to colleges in both Santa Fe and San Francisco. They are both art colleges, and are both fairly small. Overall, there aren't many variations in campus size; however, there is a distinction between what college life would be.

San Fran -- more city life and probably more college-like activity

Santa Fe -- more art related opportunities available

ASSUMING I were to get accepted to either, which one do you think would be a more enjoyable experience?

The part I recognize the most is the piano in the beginning that softly continues on as the lyrics and violin kick in. I swear I've heard this in a movie before! It's so familiar. Or maybe a TV show?

Anyone remember the Nickelodeon show "100 Good Deeds for Eddie McDowd?" Okay so I'm pretty sure he never finished his 100 good deeds. What's the deal with that?! He stayed a dog forever?!

Cara Fitzgerald is the character who Matt and his friend hit with their car while they are high and send her to the hospital in a coma, breaking half the bones in her face. Maybe I'm just stupid...but I've tried looking her up multiple times and even watched the credits during the end of one of the episodes in which she acts...I cannot find her name anywhere! I recognize her face, and it's really bugging me...because I can't put a name to it or remember any other movie she's in.

In Chapter 15 of Book Two, it describes how while Madame Defarge is knitting, she skits peoples' names...and this is described as them being "registered." The specific part I am refering to describes John Barsad. Her husband describes him as "sinister," to which Madame Defarge replies: "He shall be registered tomorrow!" My teacher is asking about this...so apparently it serves as a point of significance. This also happens in the book a few other times...so what is significant about the names she is knitting?

The movie consists of this weird science kid who makes the lime green liquid and fills syringes with the stuff and sticks them into the bodies of dead people/animals to make them come back alive. Of course, when they do, they're malfunctional and try to kill the scientist, his room mate, and room mates girlfriend. I know it's a pretty old film. 70's or 80's? I can't remember the name of it. Anyone have a clue?
