Well 28 years ago I came to Playa as a naïve tourist. 1984 there was 1,200 people here.10 taxis. 1 public telephone. 3 buses passed to Cancun, 4 ferries ran to Cozumel each day. Today 350,000 live in Playa. Buses to Cancun every 15 minutes. You know the rest. I moved here in 1998 to make a new life. After several restaurants, hotel, rental property, a few houses, and the best a new wife and 3 wonderful children, we have built a dream home in the jungle and starting next month will make it our new home. My family are enjoying summer in the northern woods of Minnesota. No I'm not done with Playa, still have interest here and will be commuting weekly and of course living here during the high season.
