  • Anyone had experience with a "little boy" implant?

I'm a complicated dental patient and my dental team is planning one of these bad boys. I'm getting a lateral incisor (deciduous stayed in for 17 years!).

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this type? I'd like to hear anything you want to tell me!

I was also looking for the manufacturer to get some more specs on the thing. I know it is a 2.5mm two-piecer (as in, the abutment is attached to the post and doesn't screw in later). It's in the same line of producs as "fat boy," actually.

It's amazingly impossible to find with google, probably cause of the other meanings of "little boy".

Also, what type of temporary crowns have people had with these? since the abutment will stick out, it's got to have a cover during healing, but it shouldn't take the full load on the integrating implant, I shouldn't think.

Right now I'm in a retainer with a pontic, so I'm not gap-grinned:) Everyone is lunching next Monday to figure out details, so I should know something else soon, but I can't wait to hear how other peoples have gone. I'm so excited to get a real tooth-type tooth and loose this plastic one!

PS: I'm also not sure about bone grafts and these suckers. I've got a tight space to fill, and so even though I've got some stellar bone in there, its not that much volume-wise. Any thoughts?
