  • Anyone with an MP3 player please read and help...?

I need to get a new MP3 player but I really would like 1 specific feature and need to know if anybody has a player that does this...

I used to have a Sony HD1 Hard Drive music player which broke 2 years ago, the feature I really liked was that if you stopped the player and turned it off, it would remember where you were and when you turned it back on it would simply carry on from where you left off, even if it was half way through a song. It would also continue with your shuffle, remembering the songs you had already listened to. When you had around 15Gb of music this was just great.

I have had 4 MP3 players (Bush, RedMango, Phillips and Alba) and an iPhone (original 2G) since breaking my Sony and none of them just continue playing from where you left off.

Does anybody own a player they can recommend that does this.

(Before you ask I don't really want to buy another HD1 off eBay as it doesn't play MP3 tracks only Sonys ATRAC format which would mean converting my entire music library using the clunky Sonic Stage software).

    Many Thanks for your help.

  • Giving refunds after ceasing trading?

I need a little help with a query.

My online business has now ceased trading - (the website has been sold and is now trading under a different name and selling different products).

A customer purchased a pair of prescription glasses from us in the middle of July 2010. They were sent the frames try on and were supposed to then return the frames to us to have the lenses fitted. The customer sent the glasses back in October (3 months later) but we were no longer trading so the glasses frames were not signed for (as we do not rent the unit any more) and got returned to the customer. They then got in contact with the new owners of the website who forwarded the customers details to us. I emailed the customer at the beginning of November to explain we were no longer trading and offered a full refund - I asked them to confirm the original order number or date and the address they wanted the refund cheque sent to. As of today (13th December) I have heard nothing.

It has now been 5 months since the original order and 5 weeks since the offer of a refund. We are paying to keep our business bank account open. How long do I have to give before I no longer have to honour a refund?

    (Sorry for the rambling story!)
