Is real money trade socially acceptable for online videogames?

Some people don't have the time to "farm" or earn in-game money to play an online videogame, so they opt to buy in-game money to spend in online games. Is it socially acceptable? After all, they earned their money, and they have the right to determine where they spend it, right? What are some possible reasons that make such behavior unaccepatable?

Socially acceptable by the gamers. See it happening all the time in WORLD OF WAR CRAFT. Anyways do you know of any website where I can find a replacement laser at a super low price for the PS2 slimline V12? Lens is model PVR-802W.
