Ethiopean/Eritrean food -- is there a difference?

I've been looking for an Ethiopean restaurant in CT and found an Eritrean one, someone told me the food is the same. Is this true? Also, if anyone actually knows a good restaurant in CT, I'd really appreciate it if they could make a suggestion.

Although, Eritrea got its independence from Ethiopia they share a similar cultural background. The cuisine of Eritrea is almost the same as the cuisine of Ethiopia.

The two cuisines are really one and the same, to a western tongue. That's not to say Westerners can't discern different tastes, just that an expertise in Ethiopian v. Eritrean cuisine would be rather profound. Think of it this way - Mexican food in the U.S. can be Tex-Mex, verde (NM), Cal-Mex... but Americans unfamiliar with Mexican cuisine can be forgiven for not knowing that the very best posole comes from New Mexico and that barbacoa is best in Colorado. It's all still Mexican food.
