If people fall from a great height, would they die before they hit the ground?

If they were high enough, say the altitude of the world record parachute jump, and they didn't have oxygen equipment, they would probably die from lack of oxygen before the got low enough to breathe the air.

If you're talking about being "scared to death", a number of people have survived sky diving accidents where their parachutes didn't open. People live through great "I'm going to die" shocks all the time.

Most lose consciousness before they hit. It's hard to get a breathe so blood pressure would drop considerably. I would say it is possible if the height was great enough, like from a plane. The pressure changes could wreck havock with you.

Yes ,they could get scared to death. Also suffocate.Heart attack can occur any place anytime a if person is not healthy.
Usually its not the fall that kills you, but rather the severety of the impact as you reach you final destination. However; I don't recommand any experiment to find out.

if they come under enormous shock which leads to heart attack, yes they can die before hitting the ground

I think they would, because of the shock. Think about it, your heart could just break inside of you in those terryfying moments, when you see the ground hurrying up against you at an incredible speed....yuo scream at the top of your lungs, but it's just too late.....horryfying, isn't it?
