Why does Italy team play in blue shirt?

I know about the "Squaddra azzura", but how is it that a country with no blue in its flag plays in blue (football- hoops soccer, rugby)?

The blue represents the Kingdom (the Royal Family color)

When italy was a kingdom rule by the Savoy royal family the color (blue) was selected to be the color for the national team (in all sports) since then the people call it the Squadra Azzurra, later when mussolini took the power he wanted to change the color but when he knew that he has the support of the royal family the color was maintain

when the Italian Republic was form (the royal family was exiled because they supported mussolini) the senate wanted to change it but it couldn´t

Another ironic answer for this is, Italy's famous color is actually RED. Because of Tifosi, the Ferrari supports. They are red all the time. Next, the racing championship in the olden days gave Red color to Ferrari, Green to Britan, and other colors to other nations.
Blue for Italy is just having variety in a country itself. It goes to show that not all people need to be the same color.

squadra azzurra = the blue team.
This is blue becouse they have a conflict with france for the collor of blue. France take blue (red white blue)and italy changed the collor of flag to (red white green).
