Any other polytheists out there?

Literal or metaphorical polytheism, either way I'd like to know.

Georgeo, I see that you're a font of intelligent questions as well... "If the boat i walked to my father's shirt is a virgin, will the god of computers be angered?" As you can tell by the responses I've recieved several people didn't think this question was stupid.

BluueNikki: by literal I do mean a literal belief that the gods are all separate entities.

Metaphorical could mean either a belief in one deity that is better understood through various "aspects" of its character, or a belief that for psychological reasons a belief in multiple gods better serves human needs(as in Jungian archetypes). I wasn't that clear before and I know that these aren't "technical terms," so I hope that helps.

I believe that our Cosmos-Universe is inhabited by a hierarchy of inteligence-beings. From spirits of the nature to masters of the Cosmos. Each entity dominates a specific sphere of knowledge and perform their duties in total harmony with the Greater Architect, God, The One, you choose what to call it. Any of these entities can be considered God-like from our human perspective as I see it, since their plane of existence is beyond the wheel of reincarnation.

All ancient tribes were Pollies. A belief in a female god as well as male gods is probably not such a bad thing. Females tend to moderate our behavior and lets face it, we haven't fared all that well under male gods for the last few millennia.

I believe that there is one God who manifests in many forms. In practice, I probably appear as a polytheist, because I worship God in many names and forms, such as Sri Krishna, Rama, Saraswati, Lakshmi, Vishnu, Shiva, Ganesha, Venkateshwara, and other Hindu Gods.

Talk about a stupid question. Polytheism is even more hated by christians than atheism. I am atheist, so I dont give a damn, but polytheists are pretty rare. its more common among asian cultures.
