Well I am a practicing pagan and i can say most would call it a nature based religion. When you look at indigenous beliefs they share many nature based rituals such as divination from stars or trees, healings, and vision journeys into forests and such. A lot of that can be found in today's pagan rituals, though a lot of us are mainly very ecologically minded :) because of those connections from the ancients shamans in hunter gather tribes all the way to today's shamans who try to heal their communities.
