Any ideas for 16 year old boy birthday?
My son will be 16 in August. He wants to have a party. I said he could, but we would have the "family "party first. What should we do for his"friend" party? Serious answers please...

B-B-Q at home or at the park, hire a dj, dancing and good food.
It really depends on what your son likes.... if he is out going then talk to one of his friends and get some ideas from them. Perhaps there is a place the local kids hang out, if you want to make it a surprise then you are better off going this route because his friends will have a good idea of what your son will enjoy.
If your son is not out going and has a small group of friends then you can still talk to one of his pals and see what he would like. Maybe a fun night out with dinner and a movie with his friends. Or a cookout at home with some of his favorite foods and music.

I hear laser tag is really kewl with boys. Some sport centers will host birthday parties in their locale. I would suggest just rounding up the guys and taking them for 2hrs of laser tag, then to a pizza place and celebrating the party there.
If you don't have a laser tag sport center near, you---do go karts, six flags, or a video arcade for a few hours of fun, and then to the pizza place, ask the owner if you can bring your own cake, I'm sure if you're buying pizza and drinks they won't mind a cake from outside. Of course, if you do six flags----no need for the pizza afterwards, they have a food court there. Just limit the number of guys attending six flags can get expensive, get coupons.
