One thing that still makes me laugh is when I made impromptu Halloween costumes for my two large lab dogs who love to greet the trick or treaters. For the 120 lb dog, I made a very teeny witch hat out of stiffened felt with green hair and a tiny little bat attached to it with a spiral of floral wire. She was incredibly hilarious. She still wears it every year. For my black lab, I took baby powder and drafting tape (which isn't real sticky as you may know - no animals were harmed in the making of this post) and "painted" a double stripe down her back and she went as a skunk.

I have another one that's kind of funny. You know those little "peeping" chicks that you can find in the stores at Easter? The ones that have a really irritating repeating high-pitched "chirp" created by a small device inside them? I worked at a drugstore that sold them. There was a young kid that worked there and we hid the little peeping device (turned permanently on, of course) in the hem of his jacket. That was a memorable day. Creative in a prankster kind of way.

When I was pregnant with my daughter I wanted something really unique to bring into the labor and delivery room to look at. So, I took a canvas painted one flower and had each member of the family add to the picture. It didn't matter if they could draw well or not just that they each had something to do with it. My oldest daughter at the time was jealous and was being a brat so instead of drawing she took a sticker off of a granny smith apple and put it on there. I painted an apple around it. The picture was with me when I had my daughter and is in her room now. By the way my oldest daughter loves her to death and we laugh about the apple now.

Did a Jackson 5 song at my school for a school event. I was the only one (the other 4 chickened out) but considering I am a white girl I got good results. (a $155 cash reward)

I did not have any money, so I made my boyfriend a valentine's present by myself. I made a box and put a key from my diary into it and put a note, telling that he has a key from my heart. 5 years later, he still brags about this present!!! Oh, well, I guess he deserves it!
