Put a towel you can throw out over it and use your iron over it. Just on a setting hot enough to melt the wax. The towel (or rag) will soak it up. Have done it many times.

I just cleaned some out with my steam cleaner and dissolves it. I buy it in the cleaning section of Wal-Mart. It works good at cleaning alot of stuff out of carpeting gum, tar, and even some paint. But if you use the steam out of your iron with a warm damp rag over the wax. Then rub with the dissolves it that might work too.

Use a hot Iron and a wash cloth put the wash cloth on the wax and than the iron until the wax is absorbed by the hot wash cloth. You will have to do this several times. Or freeze it with Ice and break it out.

You can also use a paper bag with the iron....it actually works better than the towel. Move it around (the bag) so as not to put the wax BACK on the carpet.
Good luck!!

Place a paper-towel or and old towel that you can discard over the wax, and grab your iron. Iron over the towel like you would with any clothing. The heat will draw the wax into the towel.
