I live in Puerto Rico and im so tired of my "friends" here and my brother who is my best friend is in Irak and i just cant talk to anybody here about how i feel like i want cause i feel they cant connect wit me on that level!!

yes I think it is possible, obviously you won't get to hang out together but sometimes it is nice to have someone who listens to you and you can also be there when they need to talk, you don't have to be embarrassed to tell them things as they can't see you, I love having my email buddies

I've meet people through Y. Answers just by answering their questions, then by getting pick for their best answer at times. When they click onto my name and send me a note...a few have said to keep in touch or for me to add them to my jokes list and other fun stuff. I like birds a lot, so I even pen-pal another gal about birds that we see and so on.
It also helps because I really enjoy typing, so it's not like, "OH, God....I should really write her something."
One gal on here, sends me all kinds of funny emails I laugh at every morning, and in turn I send them to others to share in the laughter....one gal's in Austrailia...and we share fun smiles too....so I don't see a problem with on-line friend-ships. I'm such a busy kind of person around the house, if someone were to ask for me to come over...I get like anxiety-ridden because it's taking away time that I could be working, or I feel that I need to be busy working at their house. Hard to me people when your a work aholic and housebody!! WORK WORK WORK......I'm a Home Organizer...so I really enjoy my clients and organizing here at my own home so pen-paling is thumbs up in my book!

If you feel that you can't connect with anyone there about how your feeling...than Yahoo Answers is a really good place for you to tell others how you feel. Specially if your one that's got lots to say...I enjoy playing Dear Abby!

p.s. I make a lot of paperart (X-acto blading, paper, drawing, gluein' and waaaaaaa-laaaaaaaaa! An awesome card or peice of art for their office. I just made my boyfriend a 12 inch white dragon with a black background (he's into dragon's wizard stuff!)
Anyway...since your brothers your best freind but lives far away...why not bringhten his day and make him a card to show that your thinkin' about him!

I live in India and my gf is from canada,we two are friends since last 5 years. we communicate regularly and now we know every thing about our families, problems etc. Why can't you have such a type of friendship?

yeah sure you can but as you know you cant be like soul mates just go on line and meet new people and share you different countries with them and tell them things and it is always good to make new friends just be careful on who your new friends are.
