From the character of Alex Forrest, played by Glenn Close in the 1987 film Fatal Attraction, who exacted revenge by killing the family pet rabbit, and leaving it boiling on the stove to be found by the family of the boyfriend.

No idea what a 'bunny boiler' is, but I've burned bridges from several people in the past...especially past employers.

Bridge burner...I'd rather just move on with my life than get the pleasure of making someone else miserable, along with me. Although I have been guilty of boiling a couple of bunnies in my younger, more vindictive days.
