Limewire question.?

Ok, so I'm downloading this file that's over 600 MB. It says it's going to take probably 4 hours or so, I figure whatever, I'll do other stuff while I wait. Closed the window, knowing that limewire would still be running and downloading the file.

About an hour or so into the transfer, I open up the limewire window again and all it is is a window with a white screen. (And by screen, I mean where you would normall see...everything)

Any idea what the problem is, and how I could fix it without shutting down limewire? Note: The window won't close.

A) Sparkster, I promise you I'm not ignorant, hon.

B) The question is basically null and void now, ended up just ctrl~alt~del'ing it, and the download is back on track. Thanks for the help, I'll pick a random person to give the best answer points to when I'm allowed.

Actually, Limewire isn't illegal, nor Kazaa or any P2P file sharing program (varies with countries). What is illegal is what you download on them. 99% what you download is illegal, but who knows?

As for your problem, that happens to me sometimes as well. I suggest either leaving Limewire open or minimize it and don't open it until well after the download completes. And sometimes waiting a while fixes it, just don't do any labor-intensive programs while trying to save Limewire.

I don't know, but you should know Limewire is illegal. Or against the law... It could mean someone has found out who you are, and they know you are using it! Or, maybe I'm just trying to spook you, you figure it out.

You will have to reboot. Sounds like it has crashed

try not closing it
just minimizing it
