I don't know if he changed is name. He currently goes by Eric Braden, Hans Gedegast may have been a stage name. He played Capt. Hauptman Hans Dietrich (as Hans Gudegast)

Eric Braedon (sp) did used to play on Rat Patrol!! I don't remember much about the show, but I do know about Eric Braedon, and he did play on Rat Patrol!

I guess I don't understand your question. When I see the name I think of the soap opera "young and the restless". If you are talking about the soap opera the guys name IS NOT Hans Gudegast.
