I am near-sighted. When I look at a mirror without my glasses, objects in the mirror are as blurry as if I looked directly at them, even though the mirror is right in front of me. Why is this? Objects closer to the mirror are clearer, while those farther away are more blurry.

The mirror not far enough from you. If it is, you will see that the objects are clearer when you look directly at them, and blurer in the mirror.

Because all a mirror does is reflect light back at you, so the image of the object is actually a little further away than if you just turned around and looked. The object in the mirror (the image) thus appears to be the same distance behind the mirror as the actual object is from the mirror. So your eye still has to adjust to focusing on light arriving from that far away.

the problem isn't with your mirror, it is with your eyes. You have to remember that a mirror is only a way for light to change its direction of movement. So, think of it as though the object is the same distance in front of you as it is from the mirror.
