Would you ever consider foster parenting?

What comes to mind when you think about foster parenting? Knowing that most of these children have serious things to work through, would you still be open to bringing them into your home? Either way you decide, what reasons were foremost in your mind?

Yes, my wife and I have been foster parents for 2 years. We have 3 girls, ages 13, 16, 17 and have no problem with them, we really enjoy them. Sometimes you get kids that are abused, on drugs and drinking. We had those kind, and when they left they were drug and alcohol free. Of the 6 we had, 2 are going onto college. I like to think we did the best we could with them. They still call us once in awhile. The money is good in foster parenting but its a better reward to see these kids get their lifes together and move on and make something of themselves. We took all the kids to therapy and it helped. You get good kids and you get bad kids, but, time will tell if they are gonna turn themselves around.

i've got had all the homestead study and such executed. i became making plans on adopting a new child from Haiti, regrettably Haiti adoptions are presently suspended. whilst they are complete re-installation the device they're going to notify me. If that doesn't pan out i'm heavily thinking fostering. i'm giving it yet another twelve months and that i will probably try fostering. My aunt did it for years and the toughest area became the attachment. exceedingly among her little ones and my siblings. that youngster might advance into area of our family individuals and then today they have been long previous. I even have weighed out the two concepts and characteristic continually felt fostering little ones could be extra rewarding. instead of having a good effect on a single youngster's life, you get to certainly effect each new child you foster. i in my opinion do basically like the belief. on the 2nd however i'm committed to adoption.

My husband and I have talked about once our kids were grown and out of the house we would consider foster care for older kids teen agers the ones no one wants because they are not little. I think all kids need a chance and love, someone that will care for them and help them get on the straight path. Sometimes it works and sometimes it's too late but I am not one to give up on anyone.
