Please help me improve this relationship?

Question

I love one girl a lot: beyond any words that can describe it. I knew her for about 3 years; but since I’m very shy and she’s not shy at all, we hardly ever spoke (if we did, they were just short conversations). She once told me that she liked me, but I was a loser and didn’t have the “guts”to give her a sign that I liked her. She probably thought I didn't like her so she stopped paying as much attention to me. I have not communicated with her for about a year-and-a-half because she went to her grandparents in Canada (but I guess she's coming back to US within a year). And now, more than anything else in the world, I want her to be my girlfriend. Please tell me how I can possibly do that. How can I make her notice me again?  If I should email her something, what would it be? Is it a good idea for me (b/c I'm shy) to invite her to go out with me at this time? I wrote her an email (approx 1/2 a page), but her response was only a couple of lines; what can that mean?

when u see her u just march straight up to her and tell her ur taking her on a date .dont ask just tell

Sounds like she knows you don't have the guts she wants you to have. Don't email her or write her letters because she expects that from you. When she comes home. Walk to her house with flowers, and ask her about life in Canada or something. Start out fresh don't jump into anything. Show her the real you, show you the real you.

Do you really love her, or just want who you can't have? How can you love her if you've barely ever spoken?

If you like her so much, tell her! Did you have her phone number or email address while she was away? You def. should have tried to tell her how you feel. She obviously knows how you feel, but women like to HEAR it too even when we know already. That shows you really care. Unless she turns out to be not to be as good as you thought, you'll kick yourself forever if you let her get away!

you should talk to her first and let her get to know you more, since you haven't talked in so long.  And if you email her again, i would write less :) ; just take it slowly before asking her out. But the most important thing you should do is to act yourself.  Hope this helped!
