I think it is a very beautiful scripture, and I think everyone, especially those who wish to follow Jesus, ought to keep it in their hearts. I wish I could follow it 24-7, but darn it, I keep messing up!
MY SAVIOUR I want to be like Jesus I know I really do I want to walk a path of love To be good and to be true But though I try, I cannot find The perfection that I seek Sometimes I am not humble Sometimes I am not meek Sometimes I'm not too gentle But, even when I fall I know I have a Savior Who loves me through it all For Jesus came to seek and find The sinner who is lost And bring him to the Father No matter what the cost So even though I stumble I know this to be true I have a Blessed Savior He who died for me and you
I accepted Jesus in 12-96, but I'm still a teenage believer.
It means don't hurt another human being with words or action or intentions. Rather, focus on love and goodness and positive energy. Forgive, practice forgiveness, it's the number one thing. This He did for me and this I should do for everyone.
Kindness. Be kind. That means don't be over zealous. Don't be rude. Do to others as you would have them do to you.
Have a tender heart. Feel emotion for others. Cry with them. Laugh with them. Offer yourself as a friend.
Simply put, this verse says love not hate. Love love love and love more!!
I wholeheartely agree with it. I know what your trying to say, and yes there are people out there who do not follow this. Let me remind you of something though. 1) Christians are human too, and we do make mistakes. 2) Just because someone gives you instructions on how to do something, do you always adheer to them? 3) Why do people, who do not believe in the Bible, insist on quoting our own scriptures at us. There are a lot of ways that one falls short of the instructions in the Bible, we are to strive to be like God, but it is impossible to be perfect.
there'll continuously be people who use the word "Christian" in a primary sense. it must be an attitude approximately life or the way others would desire to be taken care of and many times refers to prime a "stable" life. Their concept has no longer something to do with underlying concepts of God's plan of salvation with the aid of Jesus. they might have heard the plan yet have rejected it as certainty. it ought to unquestionably sound stable to a pair non-Christians as a results of fact they might proceed to have confidence in the concept their stable works will outweigh their shortcomings in the tip. It satisfies their would desire to have confidence only in themselves somewhat than coming to the awareness that faith is going previous self and saving faith is chanced on only in Jesus Christ.
