Do you feel that your freedoms can be easily violated at school?

If I went to an American school, yes. Hall passes, bag checks, seizures, what have you... it's outrageous to impose such restraints on the freedom of young individuals who are supposed to grow up to be responsible individuals and voters in a democratic country.

I think alot of the kids freedoms are violated at school. For example.... I believe if a kid has to go to the bathroom, they should be able to go, whether they are told no or not. This is something that is a problem. My son asks if he can go to the bathroom, and is always told NO. He is a well behaved kid too. Kids should be able to go, no matter if they screw off or not....there should be a time limit or something.....This should be their right.....

Your rights in schools are severely restricted. It seems unfair to have such restrictions on a person freedom in such a supposed free democracy.

yes. my husband tried to disenroll our son from school because they did not want to give him special services that we were told he would have at the beginning of the school and they wouldn't let him. i called the department of education on them and that was no help they don't know anything about anything to put it simply.
