Why do people insist on bringing religious discussion to the Science board?
Especially Christian folk. Why is it that people can't except that some people believe in science and others in religion? And why is it that only christian people seem to interrupt, I have yet to see a person of another faith stepping in with a point on evolution or the big bang? I dont understand it.

Just to clarify, I'm not trying to start a war, but am curious as to the reasons for such intertopic questioning.
Also, this question does not belong in science as it is a question about behaviour.

And I wasn't pigeonholing all Christian people. I was merely asking a question, not launching an attack. Allow your sensitivites to calm for a moment:) This really is just a question.

There is a lot of information concerning religion and science.Hint.Creation vs. Evolution.Evolutionists insist their theory is reality now.Evolution is taught literally now. Many have forgotten that it is just a theory. The creationists want to know where the transitional fossils are.The evolutionists want believers to get god to manifest in the flesh right before their eyes.He wont do that. The bible clearly states that faith will give way to sight one day.Nobody knows when that day will come. Therefore we will argue from now on on the subject.Archeology plays a big role in science.Sometimes depending on what they're digging up at the time may have something to do with scripture in the bible.Sometimes it has no biblical baring.
Because a lot of aspects of Christian dogma run head-on into science. Like the claim of the sun stopping in the sky for 24 hours. Or the existence of a worldwide flood that magically erased all physical trace of its existence. Or problems about the age of the Earth. Simply put: If something runs at odds with a literal wording of the Bible, it's wrong and they are quick to atack science and its advocates for it.
I know it frustrates me too, especially the hateful "questions", and it makes me a little less tolerant than I would like to be when I come across something rubbishing science in the religion board. But at least most of the creationists stick to the religion board.
That's easy. They can do this with out consequence. And they believe they are doing God's works by trying to save your Souls. Of course, the Religion board has had it's fair share of " Scientific " questions as well, so this could be just an Inter-board debate.
It's amazing how and answers board so easily becomes a war zone.
Religion has been a part of humanity ever since man was sophisticated enough to come up with such beliefs. When it comes to the origins of existence there is always going to be people who bring up religion. It's ingrained in us and will not be dismissed so simply.
