There are several ways to improve your computer performance and Internet connection. Unfortunately, you can write a book about the two topics. There are 2 items I can recommend. The first is to use Tune-Up Utilities 2006. Normally, it sells for $39.99. However, it comes with a 30 day free trial and trust me all you need is the free trial. Tune-Up is actually a suite of system utilities, such as registry cleaner, junk file remover, secure deletion.... In your case, you want to use the optimization module. It is very easy to use. It will scan your computer and lists setting changes which you can use to speed up your computer and Internet connection. For each item, it will provide an explanation that even a novice can understand. It is an incredible piece of software. The best way to see how it works is to download and use the software. The free trial has all of the features enabled (i.e. not cripple ware). Try it, you won't be disappointed. The download link is (http://www.tune-up.com/products/tuneup-utilities/)

Now, the second thing I would like to mention are 2 articles which illustrate how to optimize your computer's performance.

1. "10 Simple ways to speed up Windows" (http://lordofnet.blogspot.com/2006/01/10-simple-ways-to-speed-up-windows-xp.html)

Use firefox http://getfirefox.com run a spyware scan, and defragment your hard drive, and delete some excess junk on it. Other then that, there's not all that much you can do to get a massive boost without paying. If you do want to pay, spend $50 or so to get more ram put in, it's the biggest performance boost you can buy.

2. Do not use graphics on ur desktop.

Put as many fans as you can in your CPU, then overclock your PC.
