I go to school, i am not happy, but i smile to cover it up... I come home, i never do anything. Just listen to music, and write in a journal, sometimes go on the computer. When some body gets mad at me I flip out and start crying... I don't like to be involved in anything... My friend told me that i have something wrong... i am scared

Hi there !!! I am not a doctor but it does sound like depression to me. I would go to a doctor and let him know how you feel. I would also start to excersice or walk, this will help you produce a chemical in your brain that aides in fighting depression. Why do you not feel happy ? What is bothering you ? Do not be scared , you will be fine. Remember to go to a doctor ASAP and tell him how you are feeling. Wishing you a speedy emotional and spirtiual recovery May your path be enlightened by the lord May you find peace and serenity within and pleasure in everyday things again love light and peace
Sounds very much like being a normal teenager honey! Puberty can make our hormones do/feel wild and crazy things. If you are scared/worried (not just your friend) it is best to see your family doctor and let him be the judge he knows you best and nobody on this forum can answer your question based on the information you have provided and not knowing you. If you don't know how to approach your doctor there is a website called www.isitreallydepression.com where there is a self test......take it, print it and take it to your doctor and that will open the door for discussion and make it a little easier on you.
Good Luck and try not to worry too much. Besides if it is depression there is a whole lot that you can do to treat it and it doesn't have to be a forever thing either!
It could be depression. Is this a change in your personality that has been ongoing over a few weeks or more? Talk to your doctor about your feelings. Sometimes it's normal to be feeling sad and not wanting to do things when mourning the loss of something or someone important to you. In the adolescent years (I don't know your age), there are a lot of hormonal changes going on in a person's body that can affect their feelings. Suicide is a leading cause of death in teens because of this. It's REALLY important to talk to someone you trust about your feelings and see your doctor if these feelings don't get better or if they seem worse. Cyberhug.
I think you have some depression symptoms. But don't worry. It is very common for teenagers to get depressed from time to time. I experienced it when I was young. You sound afraid of some things. Talk to a therapist and find out what is holding you back. Sometimes when we face our fears, we find that things aren't as bad as we thought. And people really do care.
Try talking to someone go to the mall and have high self esteem and feel good about yourself. It do seem like you are suffering from depression it seem like you are not enjoying life you need to get out more.
